How does Laundris work?

What types of linens can Laundris track?

Laundris can track virtually any textile item in your operation, including bed sheets,pillowcases, towels, bathrobes, table linens, pool towels, spa linens, and more. If it’sfabric and goes through your laundry cycle, we can track it.

Do I need to replace all my existing linens?

No. We offer a cost-effective retrofitting solution that allows us to add RFID tags to yourexisting linen inventory. The retrofitting cost can be spread over the length of yourcontract, eliminating the need for a massive upfront investment in new linens.

Implementation

How long does implementation take?

Most properties complete implementation within 2-6 weeks, depending on property sizeand complexity. The process includes RFID tagging (or retrofitting), reader installation,system configuration, staff training, and go-live support. We work with your schedule tominimize operational disruption.

Will implementation disrupt our daily operations?

We design implementation to minimize disruption. Reader installation is typically in the back of house and we will work around your needs. Staff training is conducted in convenient sessions, and we phase the rollout to ensure smooth operations throughout. Most properties can continue normal operations during implementation.

What hardware is required?

Once RFID tags are embedded in linens, properties can start easily doing inventory checks with a handheld scanner. We can also install fixed readers at key touch points (storage areas, laundry receiving, etc.) Laundris provides all necessary hardware as part of the solution and handle installation.

Is the system difficult to use?

No. Laundris is designed with hospitality operations in mind. The interface is intuitiveand requires minimal training. Most staff members are comfortable using the handheldscanners and dashboard within minutes of training. We provide comprehensivetraining and ongoing support.

Can Laundris integrate with our existing systems?

Is our data secure?

RFID Technology

How durable are RFID tags?

The RFID tags we recommend are specifically designed for commercial laundry environments. They withstand hundreds of industrial wash cycles, high temperatures, harsh chemicals, and commercial pressing equipment. Tags typically outlast the lifetime of the linen item.

Will RFID tags damage linens or washing equipment?

No. The tags are thin, flexible, and sewn into a discreet location (typically a hem orseam). They don’t affect linen quality, guest comfort, or laundry equipment. Guestswon’t even notice them during use.

Can RFID tags be removed or fall out?

When tagged at manufacturing, they are embedded into the seams and are not removable. For retrofitted tags, they are securely sewn or heat-sealed onto the linen and are designed to remain attached throughout the item’s lifecycle. Accidental removal is extremely rare.

How accurate is RFID tracking?

Our RFID technology delivers 98.5%+ accuracy in real-world hotel environments. This issignificantly more accurate than manual counting, which typically has error rates of 15-30%.

We have multiple properties. Can we track all of them in one system?

We use an off-site commercial laundry. Will Laundris still work?

Yes. In fact, this is where Laundris provides exceptional value. We track your linensthroughout the entire lifecycle, including time at the commercial laundry facility. You’llhave visibility into turnaround times, loss at the actual laundry facility, and vendor performance metrics.

We do laundry in-house. Is the system different?
